This survey will be used by KEMA to design programs and events that are tailored to the needs of Pennsylvania’s County and Municipal Emergency Management Coordinators (EMCs). Examples of activities previously undertaken by KEMA on behalf of the County and Municipal EMCs include: - Supporting PEMA in the successful effort to establish Intrastate Mutual Aid legislation, which was signed into law in 2008.
- Working with PEMA on revisions to the Emergency Management Services Code, Title 35 of the Pennsylvania Code, which will be reintroduced in the current legislative session;
- Discussion with PEMA concerning revisions to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Manager Certification Program
KEMA is dedicated to providing training, mentoring, networking, and outreach programs for emergency management professionals, partnering with other agencies and organizations to advance the field of emergency management, and influencing legislation and policy.
